Graduation

I can't believe it is almost high school graduation time. I have two young adults I want to give gifts to, one is female the other male. Any suggestions on quick graduation gifts that I can make. One year I did the congrats as a flat fold (shown) but it is more time consuming than what I can handle at this time. I had even thought of a bookmark for the girl.

April already!!

Wow, can't believe how long it has been since I have been on this site. Both of my children were married in late 2009. It was lots of fun, what with the showers and the weddings. It went by so fast I hardly had any time to stress over it. Almost immediately it was the holiday season and that to flew by. Then by husband retired from being in the reserves for 28 years. What a hetic few months. Well I am back in the swing of stitching. Hope to have pictures next time I post. Got to go do some house work, it has been too long!

Dental work

Just got through having some dental work on my gums. What a chicken I am. I have taken my pain pill, not sure if I will do any stitching tonight. I may just zone out in front of the tv. I have a lot of big events in the near future, wedding showers, teas etc. Looking forward to them, just need to find some really cool outfits. Wish me luck

This piece was called Three Hearts Collection Four by a needle & fred. It had satin stitches in addition to regular cross stitches. It was really a fun piece and I choose a fabric with some faint tinting to it.

New Finish

I picked this piece up from my LNS. I was originally making it for my son and girlfriend for a wedding gift. The wedding was August 1st so needless to say I didn't finish in time for the wedding. Oh well, I will give it to them for a house warming for their new place. This was my first attemp at beading and it was more difficult than I thought it would be. Even though there is a lot of colors in this piece it was really hard choosing the matting. I went with blue because that is my daugher-in-laws favorite color. I hope they like it

Lost my blog

Today I went to change the font and color and somehow I lost all of my background etc. It really upset me but I am resolved to learn how to do this. Once I get it all set up I will proably never change it again.

Rainy weekend

This weekend was a rainy weekend the kind that you just wanted to stay indoors. I decided it was time to learn how to set up a blog. Still trying to get everything where it belongs. I did get to stitch a little this weekend on my latest project. It is a streetcar that I am making for a gift.
