This piece was called Three Hearts Collection Four by a needle & fred. It had satin stitches in addition to regular cross stitches. It was really a fun piece and I choose a fabric with some faint tinting to it.

Beautiful stitching! Your blog title sounds like I feel most of the time. You asked about the book the Wildcat airplane was from--well, I couldn't locate the book right off, but it is a Stoney Creek book and I purchased it at 1-2-3 Stitch online. There is a picture of that particular plane on the front or back cover and you can view both covers on their website. Seomday I would love to visit NO again.
