Rainy weekend

This weekend was a rainy weekend the kind that you just wanted to stay indoors. I decided it was time to learn how to set up a blog. Still trying to get everything where it belongs. I did get to stitch a little this weekend on my latest project. It is a streetcar that I am making for a gift.

  1. Welcome to blog land....it can be as addicting as stitching!

Thanks for visiting my blog and your comments about Rainbow Row. This one only took me about 6 weeks and that was with some breaks to stitch smaller exchange pieces. I forgot to take a pic of the framed piece, but chose a darker frame with a dusty blue mat. Came out really pretty. It was a gift for my MIL so I will have to take a pic when I go to visit. She absolutely loved it.

Can't wait to see more of your stitching.

  2. Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog! I bought the trim for my Cherry Hill finish at a fabric store in the home decorating trim section. It wasn't cheap ($18 for that little amount) but still less expensive then framing! I used Vonna's (The Twisted Stitcher) pinkeep tutorial. That was my first pinkeep and because of that fringy trim it was easy to work with and very forgiving of my first timer mistakes! Good luck! Looking forward to seeing more of your stitching! Mere
